Andrew McRae joined CERMICS on November 1st, 2025. His research is on the mathematical theory of high-dimensional statistics and continuous optimization, particularly in the interaction of these two domains. He obtained his PhD in 2022 from Georgia Tech under the supervision of Mark Davenport and was then, from 2022 to 2025, a postdoctoral researcher at EPFL with Nicolas Boumal.
