Abbas Kabalan, PhD student

                                           Introduction:

My name is Abbas K1658943292825abalan and I am a PhD student in applied Mathematics at CERMICS laboratory of Ecole des Ponts ParisTech in collaboration with SafranTech. I am currently working on Model Order Reduction for nonparametrized geometrical variability of largescale nonlinear problems under the direction of Virginie Erhlacher. I am also co-supervised by Fabien Casenave and Felipe Bordeu, SafranTech.

Research Topic

The goal of the thesis is to construct reduced order models based on nonparametric domain variations, in which the variable domains can have a different number of degrees of freedom. These reduced order models will be used to perform finite element simulation in the context of design or degradation.

Education

I started my mechanical engineering degree in 2016 at the Lebanese univeristy – Faculy of Engineering. In 2020, I got my bachelor degree in mathematics at the Lebanese university. In 2022, I got my engineering degree from the Ecole des Mines de Paris, option IDSC.
