Agustín Somacal joined our lab starting on October 12th as assistant professor AI fellow for 3 years, on a funding provided by Hi!Paris. He has a background in physics (University of Buenos Aires) and applied mathematics (Ph.D., Sorbonne Université, supervised by Profs. Albert Cohen and Olga Mula). From 2024 he was postdoctoral researcher in Ecole Centrale de Nantes. Agustín’s research centers on non-linear model order reduction and physics-informed learning to tackle forward and inverse problems by integrating advanced optimization strategies for practical, real-world applications.
